Alameda County Sheriff's Office

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office appears on LexisNexis's own published roster of Public Safety Data Exchange member agencies, alongside the county's probation office and the Sheriff's Office Coroner's Bureau. The roster is a vendor attestation of membership in the exchange. It does not say which member agencies contribute records and which only read, and it includes at least one documented non-contributor, so contribution remains unestablished for Alameda County.

California's SB 54, the California Values Act, restricts local law enforcement from assisting federal civil immigration enforcement. A county agency inside a national data exchange that federal customers can query raises a question SB 54 was never written to reach: whether records leave the county through a private broker rather than through the direct handoffs the statute regulates.

No contract, Schedule A, or AVCC XML Addendum for the Sheriff's Office has surfaced yet. A California Public Records Act request for the LexisNexis agreement and any AVCC XML Addendum is the next step. Requests should also name Community Crime Map, Coplogic, and BAIR Analytics, since records staff often do not recognize the PSDEX name.
