How to request a correction.

If you believe anything published here is inaccurate, email corrections@fineprint.report. Tell us the specific statement or record, why you believe it is wrong, and point us to documentation if you have it. Requests from the agencies, consortiums, and vendors we write about are welcome and taken seriously.

If a record about your agency is wrong.

Every agency page names the documents behind it. If a contract date, a dollar figure, an RMS vendor, a consortium membership, or a contract status is wrong on your agency’s record, send us the correct document — a signed agreement, an amendment, a termination notice — and we will correct the record and note the change. If a contract has lapsed or been cancelled since we published, that is a correction we want.

If you dispute a classification.

Confirmation Status — Confirmed Contributor, Probable Contributor, PSDEX Member, Possible Contributor, Reader Only, Under Investigation — is an evidentiary judgment, and the rules behind it are published in full. If you believe a record is classified above what the documents support, tell us which clause you read differently. We will re-read the underlying addendum and either reclassify the record or explain, in writing, what language we are relying on.

What happens next.

We review every request against the underlying documents. If we got it wrong, we correct the page within 48 hours of confirming the error, and we log the correction below with the date and what changed. If the record supports what we published, we will tell you that too, and why. Where an error came from our own research or tooling rather than a source document, we also run the data-quality remediation process — fix the record, find the root cause, and re-audit everything researched the same way.

Material errors vs. minor fixes.

Corrections that change the substance of a claim — a classification, a document’s meaning, whether an agency contributes at all — are logged here and noted on the affected page. Typos and formatting fixes that do not change meaning are made silently.

Statements from subjects.

Agencies, consortiums, and vendors we report on may send a statement at any time. We publish statements in full, unedited, alongside the relevant record or page.
